DESCRIPTION:The Zug tour guides would love to show you round their beautiful town and tell you all about the numerous old buildings and monuments in it. \nThe picturesque Old Town presents an idyllic picture with its narrow streets\, colourful facades and gabled windows\, but the history of this little lake-side town was more turbulent than you might imagine. \nTake a guided tour through the Old Town and learn something of its history\, its highlights and its catastrophes. Explore the distinctive Clock Tower\, visit the Town Hall with its Gothic Room\, marvel at the late-gothic St. Oswald’s Church and much more. There is a lot to learn and discover on this tour: for example\, why was life in the old town anything but attractive in medieval times. We look forward to welcoming you. \nThe tours take place in all weathers. \nFree of charge for the under 18. \nNo registration necessary.

SUMMARY:Öffentliche Stadtführung - Schwerpunktthema "Feuerwehrturm Zytturm und Brände"
DESCRIPTION:Der Zytturm ist nicht nur das Wahrzeichen der Stadt\, sondern war im Mittelalter auch der wichtigste Turm. Tag und Nacht wachte ein Feuerwächter im Föhnwächterstübli oben im Turm\, um rechtzeitig Feuer zu erkennen. An der Führung erfahren Sie mehr über die Geschichte des Turms\, über Brände und Katastrophen\, sowie über das einfache Leben der Einwohner der kleinen Stadt und heute noch gelebte Bräuche. \nDie Führung findet bei jedem Wetter statt. \nTeilnehmer/Teilnehmerinnen unter 18 Jahren gratis. \nAnmeldung nicht erforderlich.
